Imperial recently featured the golden South Sea pearl on their Facebook as one of 2010’s hottest trends and I thought I’d share some tidbits that Imperial said about this lovely gem.“With its deep golden color and glow, this pearl has taken the market by storm in 2010. “These pearls (and their shells) are the largest and rarest grown. It takes 20 to 24 months to grow the pearl and there are many complications that can cause them to die. South Sea pearl size ranges from 9 – 20 millimeters.”
