There is a saying in Bellingham...."the sun always comes out on July 5th"....and nothing reminds me more of summer than treasure hunting on the beach. While I usually found junk, my dream was to find golden coins....like this one. This coin pendant is composed of an authentic Byzantine gold featuring the ruler Phocas dating to 602-610 A.D. and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is set in an 18KT yellow gold bezel with a large ribbed bail crowned with a bezel set cabochon sapphire and hangs on a chunky Paloma link chain (hollow to keep the wieght and cost down). AAARRRRGH me matey....what a treasure!
